Today, I’m trying to remember all the tricks and tweaks I’ve used over the last one year to come to get Alexa traffic rank 97.000 on my main site the3dtechnologies.com. Here are ten ways in which you can improve your Alexa rank.
First and foremost, I want to give you some information about Alexa. Alexa is a very powerful tool used to provides traffic statistics rank. Alexa’s traffic rankings are based on the usage patterns of Alexa tool bar users over a rolling 3 month period.
The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis.
The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric, it means of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users).
The three-month change is determined by comparing the site’s current rank with its rank from three months ago.
For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter.
There is no easy way to increase your Alexa Rank. It’s not determined by complex algorithms or backlinks as in the case of Google Pagerank. But it is certainly possible with a little extra effort to get your ranking up.
In this article, I’ve included a great list of tricks to increase your Alexa Rank.Here is the excerpt.
1. The toolbar contain information about your site like contact information, customer reviews and traffic rankings. To download Alexa Toolbar, click here, the application is free. Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage. This is the first step to increase your Alexa Rank.
2. Add the Alexa Site Stats button to your site.
3. Put a Download Alexa Toolbar button on your website, and increase the number of users that click on it.
4. Use several pc on your home and install Alexa toolbar on all computers and set your website as the homepage for all browsers.
5. Write post about Alexa, so that many bloggers visit your Alexa site. It helps to increase your traffic rank.
6. Use social networks like Facebook and Myspace.
7. Write content that is related to webmasters. Use Alexa redirects on your website URL. Try this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.the3dtechnologies.com.
8. Get a  lot of Dugg, and Stumble.
9. Optimizin the pages of your web site or blog for Alexa.

I noticed by reading other blogs, readers seem to enjoy learning how other sites make money. So, I’ve created my top list of the programs(affiliate and not) which helped me generating my montly income online.
In general, I make most of my money from affiliate programs that are tied to products and services I own. So I reccomend to buy any product you promote if you want to grow the trust over your potential customers. Remember that is important to build credibility and trust as an affiliate.
Note: This list regards all my sites combined, but not includes all the products I’m promoting.
Bluehost And Hostgator - These two affiliate programs are the first two that you should consider if you want to make profit from your blog. Both have a good commission and can help you increase your montly income revenue.
1. Adsense – Adsense revenue can ignite spikes of exhilarating joy as well as phenomenal dips of depression, depending on whether Adsense-based revenues are moving rapidly up or have  suddenly dropped without any apparent logic to it. However, it remains one of the best if not the best pay per click program out there.
2. Infolinks – It’s been more than a year since I am using Infolinks, instead of Kontera on my sites. Infolinks shows ads related to your content and it’s very easy to integrate them on any site or blog, so I reccomend it to using as additional resource to increase your income online.
3. xtend-life.com – Xtend is an affiliate programs that I use on my site natural-supplements-tips.com. It has a good commission, and his products are higly sought
4. WordPress cloak link – This affiliate program is one of the better out there to make money.
5. Thesis Theme – If you want make money through affiliate programs, then Thesis is the right way to do it. I’ve installed a copy of this great theme on my site cabinrentalsideas, and created some tutorial on my sites the3dtechnologies.com and nickdeiana.com, so, since these sites gets good amount of traffic from Bloggers, it’s a perfect fit and the earnings started coming in right away.
6. Ad sales – I sell ads on my main blog the3dtechnologies.com. I use Buysell Ads to manage the ads on my site the3dtechnologis.com.
Recently, I could to check the new Thesis 1.8 beta1 features. So, I throught to compare the Thesis 1.8 features with Thesis 1.7 version.
There are a few differences between both releases, but it seems there aren’t too much features that worth an update for me this time.
However, I am still waiting for Thesis 2.0 because as I expect it should be really awesome version of Thesis Theme.
First all, there is a new feature which allows you to enable support for Windows Live Writer, called Publisher Tools. I don’t think will be useful to me at time. Also, the Navigation Menu was fixed to allow Thesis Themes to work with WordPress 3.0.
I’ve not noticed any change that can be interesting yet.
You can just upload an optimal width of 730 pixels, I don’t agree with this method because I prefer that the image was free of size. Is the blog owner “should” upload the right sizes to match his blog width.
Thesis Page Options is no longer exists. Removing Thesis Page Option of thesis 1.7 is probably the best thing I really seen in Thesis 1.8 because isn’t something good to deal with if you have so many tags on your blog.
The only changes on Thesis Options Manager page is the order of options. In the image above is how it looks in Thesis 1.8
In my view some changes on Thesis 1.8 are unnecessary other maybe useful for some bloggers.
