Usually, if you want to update your blog to a new domain and redirect all the pages in your blog, the 301 redirection basically is the better method for webpage redirection.

For instance, if you want to change you domain name from mydomain.com to domain.com you could use a 301 redirect in order to make find the new domain name of your blog at search engine.

It’s not so hard to implement. of course, by creating a blog with a platform such as blogspot the software does not support a redirect. Then, I reccomend to consider that fact before starting a .blogspot blog.

Instead, by using WordPress, there are different plugins that will help you easily to redirect any blog post or page to any other post or page. They should help you to preserve your search engine rankings for that particular page.
