I joined the Amazon affiliate program from a while, and my latest sales I done was from an article I post for my site coupons.thedtechnologies.com titled “The Ultimate Amazon List Of Netbook Deals, Latest Update 06/09/2010“.

Unfortunatly the commissions I got with this post were quite low. Recently I had the pleasure to read a post from Chris Gurthie titled “Top 7 tips I used to make $41,438.42 in 2009 with Amazon Associates“. It is by far the strongest and best article I found in these months:

2. Bestseller Lists: 15% of total earnings

The bestseller list post has been one of the top posts I run on a monthly basis for almost all of my various blogs and forums. I simply write about the bestselling products within the niche of the blogs I run. I only do it once per month so it doesn’t upset users looking for unique content. Bestseller lists are a form of social proof and they are incredibly strong at convincing people what to buy, which is precisely why Amazon uses them so extensively on their own website.

Chris revealed that his affiliate commissions are came 15% from best-selling lists and 45% from content affiliate links.

Below, I’ve made a sum of the step you find in that video:

[0:20] Go on Google Keyword tool

[20:51]  I recommend typing in the search box workd like that: “how”, “how to”, or “what”. The next word must be a generic word that describes your blog, like “money”.

[51-1:20] Look for Global Monthly Search Volume. This is the average monthly number of search queries for this keyword in a month.

[1:20-2.00]  Choose those keywords that have between 70 and 10,000 searches per month.

Note: You should only to target one keyphrase with each of your blog posts.

[2.00 - 2:20] Use the same keyphrase in both blog post title and permalink. Don’t add extra words.

[2.20 - 2:25] Add your keyphrase in different point of your blog post.

[2.25 - 2:31] People who link to your blog post, need to use that exact keyphrase.  Be sure to make it the title of your blog post.

[2:31 - 2:48] Once created a WordPress blog, download the free All In One SEO Pack to modify your page title, keywords, and meta description.

[2:48 - 2:57] Your meta description is the sentence or two that appears below your blog post in Google search results.

[2:57 - 3:17] Do Guest posting, and add a link to your blog post at the end of your guest post. It will help your post rank higher in the search engines.

[3:17 - 3:48] Use this simple system to get thousands of visitors to your blog every month!
