Frugal Theme Review, Clean WordPress Theme
[19 Jan 2010 | 2 Comments | ]

UPDATE - 1 March 2010 - Designed by Eric Hamm, Frugal Theme is a new simple and clean theme for Wordpress. Eric is passionate about blogging and the web, and have developed this fantastic theme for anyone that want a fully customizable theme without need to having php or html knowledge.

Talking about simplicity, this theme uses zero images. In particular, It not includes images into navigation bars, backgrounds, headers, footers, etc. Whatch the demo here.

Also, it includes custom avatars, built-in ad widgets, and custom favicon so you no need to install a lot of plugins and simplify the work.

According to Eric, it’s all about the content.

When it comes down to it, your blog’s content is MUCH more important that the theme itself. Sure, you don’t want your site to look tacky or amateurish or misrepresent the focus of your blog, but at the end of the day, it’s WHAT your saying that creates the draw for your potential subscribers, not what color the background is when they read it (though that can have an effect).

So in designing the frugal Wordpress theme I kept in mind the idea of providing the absolute best possible framework to put ALL the focus on the words and images you provide your readers…no more, no less. In it’s stock form, the frugal theme is light and clear and perfect for the next great work you are about to share.

Watch this cool video below to see just how powerful this theme is.

Frugal isn’t free, but compared to free themes out, it has a lot of options and features to justify the non-free price. You get free themes support, upgrades, and a unique theme that most people don’t use.
